Karen Campbell

CEO at Jayasom Pte Ltd

A long-time resident of Thailand and formerly New Zealand’s Trade Commissioner to Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, and Cambodia, Karen previously worked in banking in Singapore, Japan, and New Zealand. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Canterbury University and an MBA from IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland.
She co-founded Jayasom with her business partner, Basel Shammout, in 2014.

Dominic Szambowski

Dean at Swiss Hotel Management School

Before joining SHMS, Professor Szambowski worked for almost five years as CEO and President at the International College of Management, Sydney after leading the team on a major transformational journey involving culture, profitability, product suite, and organizational structure, with academic recognition and integrity. His previous roles have included Vice Chancellor of BERJAYA University College of Hospitality in Kuala Lumpur, President/CEO of INTI International College, Subang Jaya, Malaysia, and Executive Dean, Hospitality, Culinary Arts and Tourism for the INTI Group (both roles then under Laureate International Universities.)

Patrick Taffin d'Heursel

Assistant Dean at SHMS Swiss Hotel Management School

Holding a Master of Arts in Education and a bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Mr. Taffin, as an empathetic and supportive leader for the past 8 years, has been guiding young bachelor students in their educational path, encouraging their development and assisting them in reaching their full potential. Focused on providing an outstanding learning journey, he combines 20 years of international leadership experience in the hospitality and spa industry for prominent brands like Ritz-Carlton, Six Senses and Relais Chateau. Prior to his role in SHMS, Mr. Taffin has worked in large, fast-paced hotels and restaurants in South America and Europe, to boutique luxury properties in French Polynesia and the Middle East. Mr. Taffin is also fluent in five languages.

Daiane Lagger

Director of Marketing and Development Americas

Daiane has been with the Swiss Education Group (SEG) for 17 years. During these years, she has held numerous positions within the Academic and Marketing departments. She is in charge of the Americas Admissions Office and is committed to sharing her passion for Swiss Hospitality and Culinary Arts, guiding students throughout the Admissions process, supporting them during their studies and career paths.
