With an investment totalling CHF 2.7 million, the new culinary facility, located in the former Limelight building features state-of-the-art facilities including two new kitchens for pastry and chocolate, a tailor-made application and product development kitchen and two training rooms.

Our existing facilities on campus were no longer sufficient to cater to the strong demand for pastry and chocolate courses. We’re delighted that the new centre will enable us to provide additional students with the necessary tools and training they need as they prepare for their careers,
commented Arlette Pfeiffer, Director of César Ritz Colleges Switzerland.

Designed to replicate a show kitchen, pedestrians walking by the building will also be able to peek into the kitchens and gain insight into the world of culinary arts.

Switzerland enjoys a world-wide reputation for its chocolate and Lucerne is a primary tourist destination. Together, both parameters strengthen the branding for popular courses in pastry, chocolate and culinary arts,
explains Florent Rondez, CEO of Swiss Education Group.

Culinary industry partnerships for the students of the Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland

Swiss Education Group was privileged to have two celebrated chefs testing out the facilities in the new kitchen during the inauguration event. Anton Mosimann who has had an exclusive partnership with Swiss Education Group since 2015, recreated his famed Risotto ai Funghi, with Thai influences during a cooking demonstration for guests that included His Excellency Mr. Kittiphong na Ranong, Ambassador of Thailand to Switzerland. Visiting chef Chumpol Jangprai followed with a Thai cooking class demonstration for students of the Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland.
