Swiss Education Group Alumni Gathering In Stockholm

Swiss Education Group Alumni Gathering In Stockholm

“Old memories and new get-togethers create inspiration! It’s always fun when students from different schools within the SEG network meet as we aim to get these types of events to grow. Regardless of graduation year or if you met before, it always feels like a big family reunion.” Angelica Surage, Swiss Education Group Alumni Chapter President in Scandinavia

It was a great atmosphere last week when our Swedish alumni gathered together in Stockholm at the newly opened Jamie’s Kitchen at Scandic Anglais, located in the city centre. This was the fifth SEG alumni gathering in Stockholm and another great opportunity to establish networking opportunities amongst graduates in the Swedish hospitality and tourism industry.

Jamie’s Kitchen offered a delightful ambience for our alumni to exchange memories from their time in Switzerland but also an opportunity for two of our current students from SHMS, who travelled to Sweden for the occasion, to get some inspiration from the successful alumni journeys. Among our alumni was Peter Tengström, who graduated from César Ritz Colleges in 1995 followed by a BSc from Cornell in 1998. Today Peter works as CEO of Midstar, a hotel real estate and asset management company.

The event was also a great opportunity for our Scandinavian student recruiter Levi Nikitin to celebrate three successful days at SACO Stockholm, one of the Sweden’s largest education fairs. He noted, “It has been a great three days at the SACO fair in Stockholm. It is fantastic to meet and interact with all of the ambitious and passionate students. Hospitality is one of the world’s fastest growing industries and I am sure that we will see some of the students we met during these days manage some of the world’s finest hotels in the future.”

Thank you again to all alumni for being a part of our success story!
