Step 1: Apply online
Please fill out the online application form and include the documents listed below (translated into English and stamped by an official translator). Copies of official documents are accepted however original documents may be requested. If you are in contact with a local representative, he or she will be able to help with this process.
- High-school/university certificates/transcripts
- On arrival on campus, any new student who does not meet the expected minimum for their specific program is required to enroll in a six-week support program, running parallel to their main program, at an additional cost of CHF 390
- Completed Statement of Health document
- Copy of passport
- Four passport-size photographs (3x4 cm – required upon arrival in Switzerland)
- Curriculum vitae (résumé)
- Motivation letter
- Work reference letters (if available)
Step 2: Receive provisional acceptance
The admissions office will consider your academic records, personal motivation, work experience (if any), extracurricular activities and any letters of recommendation. If the application is successful and the requested course is still available, a provisional letter of acceptance will be sent within one week.
In order to guarantee your place, a confirmation fee of CHF 3,000 must be paid within 30 days and will be applied toward the first term fees. Please contact the admissions office to request an extension.
Cancellation insurance: CHF 290 per term (please refer to the general conditions for details).
Full payment instructions will be indicated in the provisional letter of acceptance. If the letter is received six weeks or less before the starting date, full fees should be transferred immediately.
Step 3: Receive confirmation of acceptance and apply for your visa
You will receive confirmation of your acceptance once you have paid the confirmation fee. Once a place is confirmed, you will receive detailed information for arrival at the school. For any additional information, please refer to the application package.
The balance of school fees must be paid no later than six weeks before arrival. Any special room requests (single, premium, deluxe or superior deluxe) can only be confirmed once full payment is received.
Apply for a visa
For non-European Union students, you will need apply for a student visa at the nearest Swiss Embassy or Consulate with your letter of acceptance and the proof of payment of the confirmation fee.
The visa can take up to 12 weeks to process. In some countries, Swiss authorities require advance payment of the tuition fees (one or two terms) in order to process a visa. You can collect your visa at the earliest 10 days before the start of the course.
Neither the school nor its representatives have any jurisdiction over decisions concerning visa applications. All decisions are made by the relevant Swiss authorities.
