Le Bouveret is a charismatic French-speaking town nestled on the shores of Lake Geneva, and just a five-minute drive to neighbouring France. Known for its beautiful beach and many outdoor attractions, Le Bouveret is a popular summer resort. Conveniently located near the vibrant towns of Montreux and Lausanne, the nearest airport is Geneva International Airport.​

Facilities


Beautiful Lakeside Setting

Located in a magnificent former hotel dating back to the early 1900s, the César Ritz campus is just minutes away from the town centre and the lake. The new campus extension, finished in 2012, provides 100 fully equipped single superior deluxe rooms with state-of-the-art kitchen facilities in collaboration with the Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland.

The entire campus is set in a magnificent 26,000 m2 lakeside location and offers a tranquil and secure study environment. A high-speed wireless connection is provided throughout the campus.

 

Sport and Leisure

There are many ways for students to relax and socialise; the campus has its own private fitness centre and football field where students can unwind after a hard day of studying. There is also table tennis, table football and a home cinema.

During the summer months Le Bouveret is a watersports haven: paddle boarding, water skiing, sailing, windsurfing and motor boating are just some of the activities available to students. There are also facilities for beach volleyball and a skate and bike park available. Free outdoor concerts are held weekly during the summer months along with the charming lakeside markets. For winter sports enthusiasts the prestigious ski resorts of Gstaad and Verbier are less than a one-hour drive away.

 

Meals

Full board is provided throughout the week and is included in the fees. Three meals are served from Monday to Friday with brunch and dinner on weekends.​

Students have the choice of eating in any of the food outlets on campus:

The César Ritz Fine Dining

A traditional fine-dining restaurant from an à la carte menu for lunch and dinner. Students apply food and beverage theory they have learned and practise service skills in this restaurant.

The Lakeview Restaurant

The main buffet restaurant on campus serves an international buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. During the summer months the Lakeview restaurant opens its magnificent terrace where students can enjoy their meals overlooking Lake Geneva.​

The Ritz Lounge

Renovated in 2013, the students can purchase a coffee, snacks or warm dishes from early morning until late in the evening.

The Underground

The students’ bar and night club, open four evenings per week, until late on weekends.

Students have the option to order breakfast and dinner by room service.
 

 

Accommodation

All student accommodation is designed to offer students the comfort and privacy needed for study or to simply relax. Bedrooms are spacious, modern and comfortable; all are non-smoking. Rooms are located both in the main school building overlooking the lake and in the adjacent Bellevue building set among the trees.

Bed Linen and Towels

Bed linen and towels are provided for all room categories. Towels are changed once a week by the housekeeping department. Bed linen is changed every two weeks or upon request.

Laundry

A fully equipped laundry is available in all student accommodation buildings. These facilities are card operated. Cards are available to purchase at the reception.

Cleaning

The housekeeping department cleans rooms weekly.

Luggage Room

A luggage room is available in the school for students to store their luggage during the internship period if required.

"Constantly seeking perfection, the adrenaline rush of always working against time and the large range of opportunities; these are the most important reasons that led me to want to be a chef de cuisine.

Satisfying your customers is the most rewarding aspect of being a chef and there are few other careers where the main objective is to make people happy.

For those who want to follow this career, get prepared to be welcomed to a different and much faster world where pride, passion, professionalism and patience, as we learnt at Culinary Arts Academy, will be the keys to your success. It will be totally strange at the beginning but you’ll get used to the fast environment in the kitchen and it will be a career you will love after all the hard work is done.

In July 2011, I won the Bocuse d’Or Brazil contest at São Paulo, the most important culinary contest in my country. It qualified me for the Bocuse d’Or Latin America in Mexico City in September where I placed second. That then qualified me to for the Bocuse d’Or Lyon in France, one of the world’s most important, individual culinary contests organized by legendary chef, Paul Bocuse.

I can honestly say that all of my success happened because I studied at Culinary Arts Academy. There I received all the knowledge needed and the seed for my passion was planted. I’m very grateful and proud to have had a Culinary Arts Academy background in my career."
