To the SEG Community,

The health and safety of our community is our top priority.  We would like to begin by informing you that there are no cases of coronavirus found in any SEG schools, as of March 10th.

Over the past month, we have consistently and proactively put precautionary measures in place to mitigate risks to our schools, including general health guidelines, visitor restrictions and quarantine for anyone who has recently visited or been exposed to high-risk regions and cancellation of the physical events of the March International Recruitment Forum (IRF).

Just to recap, our current protocols are:

  • Open Days: all Open Days visits are suspended until at least March 15th.
  • Visitors: all non-essential visits will be restricted until at least March 15th. Visits must be pre-approved by senior management.
  • Graduations: regretfully, March graduations in Brig and Montreux will have to be cancelled. We will not be able to accommodate campus visits by family and friends.
  • On-campus large gatherings: all non-essential large gatherings will be minimized.
  • Soft Quarantine: Strict enforcement of soft quarantine for exposed students and personnel will continue across the organisation.
  • Travel: We highly recommend that you do not travel unnecessarily. This would seem to be the safest course of action.
  • Preventative health guidelines: We encourage you to continue to practice frequent hand washing, staying away from sneezing & coughing people, wearing a mask where needed and avoid kissing and handshaking.

Separately, our career services teams are working hard to deliver in the next few days our very first Virtual IRF. And as previously communicated, we are supporting case by case alternative internship or study options for those students whose internships are affected by coronavirus outbreak.

This is an exceptional time and the above measures will undoubtedly cause some inconvenience, which we truly regret. However, our top priority is the wellbeing of all our students and staff, and we believe we must act accordingly.
